Derek De Leon is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in dermatology, with a strong foundation in adult-gerontology care. He earned his Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington, where he focused on the adult-gerontology population, equipping him with the skills to manage complex medical conditions across the lifespan.
With over a decade of experience in healthcare, Derek brings a wealth of clinical expertise to his practice. He spent more than eight years as an intensive care nurse, providing high-acuity care in fast-paced environments. He later advanced his career as a Nurse Practitioner in Internal Medicine, serving patients at a Level 1 trauma center for two years, where he honed his diagnostic and treatment skills in a multidisciplinary setting.
Most recently, Derek completed a postgraduate dermatology fellowship through Regis University in Denver, Colorado. This specialized training has deepened his knowledge in medical dermatology, allowing him to deliver comprehensive skin care tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
